At 200 quid already. Joking aside Im a bit annoyed about this item as someone is going to spend all there hard earned money on it and I highly doubt it's 1380 let alone even running. It's horrible when you buy an engine and it's not what it stated, been there got the tee-shirt, it pissess you off.

If we all report it then it might get taken down.

I would never buy a spec'd engine like that without first removing at least the head, the wok, and perhaps the speedo housing to see what I am handing over my hard earned for.

At the end of it if some one takes some one elses word for it and has not got the nouse to take the head off at least before handing over any cash, its their problem.

The fuck around is a bit of a pisser though when the gear is not what they say it is when you turn up at their door! but at least you can have it out with them face to face and tell them to fuck right off

There's nothing to say that he knows any different to what's on the add. He may well have bought it on spec and is not able to check...

If you don't know yourself tho I don't think you should advertise it as that. Its common decency, I didn't have the expertise to check an engine I brought And I got stung 500 quid for a fucked lump of which I only salvaged the gearbox casing, carb plenum, turbo, block, and a few casing. Nothing else was usable.

im very intrested in this engine so i asked a few questions, looking forward to my reply!

1st, who made the pistions, cam, duplex timing. what crank do you have fitted as you say "race crank"? What size valves have you fitted, is the head ported and what c/r are you running?

2nd, what type of gearbox is it running, diff, drops, gearset, oil pick up?

3rd, What work has been carried out on the standard su carb? who done the work? what carb is it, twin-su, hi38, hi44, webber ect..?

4th, how many miles has the engine done as you say your friend has ran it before you, 143bhp is very powerful for a n/a, do you know the ft·lbs output? where did you have the rr?
