was quite a while ago now, was having a bit to much fun and got caught doing it (done for speeding over double). cost me a lot of money and a lot of hassle as my court appearance made the paper, cost me a very nice job i was going for.

Gahhh, you men with your cheap insurance! Admiral is a sister company of Diamond aren't they? Because Diamond are robbing durr brains! Last month I paid about £400 in insurance between leaving them and a deposit for flux. I'm with adrian flux now because nobody else would insure me with an agreed value. Loads of classic insurance want you to be over 25 or have two cars.
Im not sure why loads of companies are changing their policies lately, would imagine they are losing a lot of customers!

Ohhhh I didn't know you wanted to know how much I paid or anything like that, I was just moaning about charges and that it's pretty hard to get everything you want from more than one company!
It is a bit annoying when guys claim to have more expensive insurance than girls because when I was 19 I paid about £2200 for my machine of a micra TPFT!! And that was the cheapest by a good few hundred squids!

Paul, does having a ban make your insurance super expensive? Or do you just find it hard to get people to actually insure you? I know people with points and it barely effects their premium :/

i have put what i pay up currently, without points and ban my insurance on Metro and Clio is 575.

it bumped my insurance first year after by £390

Tpft is the most expensive way to insure a car these days.... much cheaper i have always found to be fully comp

Sorry I missed that. That bumps it quite a lot then :(. TPFT was a lot cheaper a few years go when I did it, I'm not sure if would be the same any more because I'd never only insure the mini TPFT, it's worth a lot more than the micra *tongue*.

a bump in insurance was better than the other option the court could have taken. live and learn. (my fine and fees were over £450 and i got off very very luckily due to my circumstances)

end of the day most of us, if not all of have sped before it at one point or another. my dad has also had a ban his insurance only went up £140 but he was find a lot!

I don't really know much about fines/bans to be totally honest or much about being caught without tax/mot/insurance. But as long as you have learned from it *tongue* I don't know anything about your ban either but doing twice the speed limit is really bad! (best case scenario is that you was only doing 40 in a 20 and it wasn't an area where anyone could be hurt!)
