I agree Rob. If you feed the the throttle in before going WOT the fuelling holds at 12.5 its just when you change up and go WOT straight away that it leans off. I'm thinking maybe time for a stronger carb spring or slightly thicker oil. I may also blank off the part throttle lean off to see if that helps.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

this same thing happens to my car, boost is about 1.3 bar though. when throttle is opened up and the revs climb it leans then goes good again, but if you steadily open the throttle then go to WOT it doesnt go lean at all. for now weve retarded the timing at these points, but would like to sort it out

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I don't think the needle profile is a million miles out. 3psi less boost and its fine.

Might just turn the sod back down lol.

Don't give up just yet. I reckon try clamping the lean of pipe and then fit the sping when it comes.

I have a test plan in mind. But 1 thing at a time. No point in changing 4 things then not knowing what did the trick.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yeah I've got a set of little mole grips clamping the part throttle lean off pipe when on the strip then take it off for the ride home. *happy*

Yeah I reckon a solenoid valve would be good for the van too.

Just found out the standard unladen weight of a 1275 metro van is 755kg's!

God knows what ours is with the rear ARB, bodykit, bigger wheels, heavier seats, turbo gubbins etc!

I don't think we will be getting it down to 700kg's as I had hoped!

My car is stated to be 673kg as standard but the weighbridge says 890kg !

I know there are some heavier bits on it but thats ridiculous !

I reckon it must be knocking near 800kg's on the head.
