How do you work that out then Colin? I expect a bit less than 150bhp personally.

I was thinking cloer to 140 bananas, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Can't wait to hear what it actually does.

The final drive ratio might have a lot to do with it, but I ran a 15.2sec 89.9mph at MITP last year with ~140hp. I did have one more gear change that the van would have.

Going from what Fast Carl says, you need ~25hp for every 0.5sec on the quarter gives me the 164hp result *happy*

Interesting... It's running a 3.1:1 final drive

Figures from memory - For Avon 09 we had about 72bhp (went on the rollers there) and did a 16.9 second best time, so going by the 25 BHP per 1/2 second time improvement, we'd need to be running around another 110 bananas to get the 14.6 second runs. I think ~180 banans is optomistic. Also there is the weight and aerodynamic differences to take into account. I'm going to stick to my ~140 banana guess and hope to be proven wrong *smiley*

I'll say 136bhp *wink*

EDIT: BTW last year's best was a 17.9 not a 16.9

The 0.5sec/ 25hp theory is for a car with the same weight. IE to improve a cars time by 0.5sec, without changing the weight, requires ~25hp.

I ran 17.5 with the 1400 and ~80hp, then ran a 16.3 with ~105hp on a different engine, little lightening of the car too. I then ran the 15.2 with an extra 40hp of nitrous, so the ~25hp/ 0.5 sec rule is somewhere about right

like i said, the final drive might have something to do with it, but im sticking with my numbersgive or take 7 *happy*

I think thats a great result and does not really surprise me in view of your times.

Must see your full spec to work out how to improve mine.

Please dont paint it, thats half the surprise for most people.

No worries Tom.

George:- Not got the wheels just yet. Need to get them couriered over. It's going to get a beating with the lowering stick over the winter. We have a massive list of mods to do to it.

Tadge:- You are more than welcome to the full spec, just drop me a pm with any questions you may have :)

Matt:- I think Andy has some "holiday" footage on the video camera so it wasn't available this weekend.

I'm sure it will get some paint at some point but at the moment we are concentrating on fastness *happy*
