You could be 'lucky' and just need a new set of botom end bearings and oil pump. I expect the debris from the gearbox got sucked straight up the oil pickup pipe... |

this is the sort of thing that makes me want a true full flow oil filter not a bypass so the bearings and important bits only see properly filtered oil that wont help the pump tho.. |

thats one half of the plan the other is getting a good full flow filter ive found most oil filters have internal springs/valves that will push oil will past if the filtration media becomes restrictive from ether crap stuck in it or just the full volume passing throw it

i might be missing the point but why wont a sc set do more or less miles than std gears? is it just poor quality? or the way there mesh being harsher on off vs progressive? id have thought modern tech should have sorted the meshing problems no? or is it to do with the on off on mesh giving vibrations to the bearings and stuff? |

I had a similar incident, went from 1st to 2nd. Can't imagine it does the rest of the engine any good. |

i was once told not to put s short throw shifter on a worn box as its east to beat the box and grab two gears at once resulting in bad things lol dont know how true it is.. id have thought from second to 3rd might be possable as they are seprate hubs but couldent see how first to second could do what i have mensioned |

I wouldn't worry about the gears not lasting being straight cut. I've heard that before, and it's complete rubbish. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel
