Has anyone got/and has used the Z-cars fornt subby for the A series? Are they any good?

It has fully solid engine mounts and is a lot stiffer. That is a good thing right? stops the engine jumping out and stops the shell flexing where it has been cut and a turbo box fitted?

I like lots of noise and the smell of burning rubber and petrol... Is this normal?

Interesting, very difficult to tell from that angle but I think it will have significantly changed the front geometry.

Looks like the effective top wishbone isn't as long and that rocker arrangement may also be falling rate.Up travel (bump) looks compromised as well.

Not impressed would love to crawl over one with a measure and see what it will actually give.

Agree with those bump steer issues.

Whould like to see some more pics, especially some that show geometry better. Suspension is more important than bananas for quick lap times and big smiles. My kitcar will eat more powerful cars alive because not only has it got huge grip but because it changes direction so well and is so easy to drive.

I already have one on my other project mini (couple of shots of front subby in link). I was just wondering what it would be like with a engine in it solid mounts + position?

Judging by how much my steering wheel viabrates at idle with a poly bush top steady and new standard engine mounts the thought of a solid mounted engine on a road car scares me.

MiniMrMan, the link isn't working for me. Any chance you can post the pic direct on here?

I normally use poly bushes on both ends of both lower arms, rose joint one end and poly bush other on main steady and new engine mounts on each rebuild, never really had a problem with vibration transmitted to the column ..... interesting
