i cannot afford to go mad with the gearbox at mo so i will be using the standard box as i wont be pushing to much horses out yet but i did read that you should change the diff to a 4 pin diff. i8s this the best one, what ratio diff should i go down too. do you need to ask what ratio you want or do you fit your crownwheel into the diff. is that how it works, as i was reading topics and everyone says get uprated fiff, but then i read loads other pages and people asking for different ratio diffs. im just trying to learn this stuff myself. my dads the mechanic but i wanna no this stuff too ill be able to shock him. ive picked upp all the other bits really well.

ok i think i have sussed it out i was bein a flid, the crownwheel is where you get the ratio bit from, and the 4 pin diff basically a sepereate bit to the vrownwheel, it fits on next the it.

Count the teeth on the gears and divive the little number (pinion teeth number)into the big number (crown wheel teeth).
