(and i have done a search, but couldnt really find anything to answer my questions)

After seeing the mirage manifolds, i am very tempted by this conversion, as i dont want to cut into the bulkhead.

Im thinking of going for a 1293 block (as i already have one) with a head i already have (unknown chamber size, but it has 38mm inlet & 31mm exhaust valves)

Question 1 - would that head be ok with the big valves?

Question 2 - Where would be the best place to get dished pistons for a 1293 + how much would they be?

Question 3 - Cam choice, i presume something "sensible" like an sw5 would be the best bet for a sensible turboed mini, if not what would?

Question 4 - Fuel tank, im under the impression i have to have a return line for the fuel. where can i get that done/how much?

Question 5 - Does the T2 just bolt straight on without any modifications?

Question 6 - will a turbo be fine running on a normal dizzy?

Question 7 - Will i need a dump valve/blow off valve & if so, where abouts would it be plumbed in?

There are a few more questions i have, but thats about it really for the time being.

Sorry for the long post!

Cheers

Q1 = No. It will most likely crack.
Q2 = MED/Morspeed/Avonbar/Minits. Ring and ask.
Q3 = Normally aspirated cams such as SW5 not ideal for a turbo engine. Do some reading up on cam profiles on this site and you will find one comes on top every single time.
Q4 = Yes you need a return. Search for "MPI tank" as a simple way of achieving it.
Q5 = No. Do a search all the info is on this site if you look for it.
Q6 = Turbo dizzy is better, MegaJolt or other mapped ignition is much much better.

Nic posted a good guide on the mirage manifolds. If you search for 'mirage guide' you might find it. :)
