after reading Will h post on turboing a 998 using a T2 and mirage manifolds, i have decided to do the build, i am also making a supercharger kit (very slowely)

i am starting to gather parts. but stuck on the head, he uses a 12g295 head with 28cc

now my contact has a completely standard 295 but does not know the chamber size, is there an easier way of figuring out what size chambers it has without doing the water seal test thingy.

and its a standard 998 with flat tops,

new to this turbo jibba jabba but trying to learn,

gaz

standard 295 have just over 28.cc chambers (28.3cc?)

if you think this may not be the case, you will have to measure it again...

It's not so hard to measure the chambers. I think that someone on here knows the standard height of the heads. If your's is the standard height then you can assume it has standard chambers.

And yes I used flat tops in theis engine.

Good luck.

The head should be 2.75" or 69.85mm thick if it hasn't been skimmed. Then you should have approx 28.3cc chambers.

That will give you approx. 9:1 CR with the flat topped pistons.

For a quick assessment of chamber volume, you can estimate it. The area of the face of the standard chamber is about 31cm2, so for every 0.0127" or 0.32mm has been removed from the face reduces the chamber volume by 1cc.
