Howdy, quick question

Ive had minis with just the brake cylinder and others that have the servo.

Would it be wise having an uprated 1275 with just the normal brake cylinder or is this suicide?

ive got standard front brakes

the brakes are the same its just the braking effort that is changed. a non servo gives a better feel of whats going on to the driver and a servo set-up is for whimps *happy*

IMO i prefer non servo for a better feel of what is going on with the car and then use a bias adjuster to adjust as necessary. Just my opinion though, others may differ.

Depends what your car is for IMO. If it's an everyday road car then a servo is great, just makes journeys easier.

For any track orientated car the servo is just ballast.

If the car wasn't fitted with one though I wouldn't add one, but would remove one for race use; if that makes sense.

As MM says, won't actually affect the ultimately braking force

i fitted the rover cooper type servo and i like it. i'd never go back to non servo brakes, esp on a road car
