Hi, I will be running a metro turbo engine, with an IC at about 10psi, is it essential to have a 4 pin diff? as I am on quite a tight budget? |

Most people say yes, but I think with a bit of mechanical sympathy then you might be OK without one.

Another thing to bear in mind, if the diff does start to disintergrate what else will it take with it? On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

My MG Metro (standard NA, not turbo) broke it's diff pin at ~70k miles. All normal driving.

i just had one die on my n/a running 77 bhp with normal driving so will definitely be using a minispares x-pin/ quiafe if i can afford in the turbo On 23rd Oct, 2009 sim_ou_nao said:

in my N/A mini i snapped a bmc diff pin now im running a comp pin with two flats on each end n its doing just fine after 2000km of really hard driving *Age does not dinimish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from its cone* |
