Hello,
I'm working on an a-series conversion to turbo and I'm still in the parts gathering stage. My car currently has dual SUs on but they have air leaks around the throttle shafts which are causing all sorts of tuning and mixture problems. I also have a Weber DGV setup as well as the mostly complete turbo setup.

My question is: Can I install the turbo intake manifold and turbo carb but run it with no boost for the meantime? That way it is already on the car and ready for the addition of the turbo once the rest of the parts are ready. OR, should I just stick the DGV on until I'm ready for the complete swap?

Mostly I'm unsure of how the floating jet would function without the boost. Will I have mixture problems with an ub-boosted turbo carb?

Thanks,
JACK

Yes you can. A turbo carb works just like an NA carb when off boost.

Thanks for the response. That's pretty well what I figured but then, when you aren't sure, that's when there's something you may have overlooked.
