Since i'll be moving to Oz at the end of the year I was planning on taking my mini (since it's cheaper than buying one over there)

But it is looking like I may not be able to afford it.

It's a 1971 morris 1000 with metro turbo motor
1.5:1 roller rockers, lightened balanced flywheel with grey diaphram.

Full adjustable camber brackets, adjustable lower arms and tie bars.

Removable steel front with seperate bonnet.

Can't think of anything else?

Depending on the bodywork and condition id say maybe a 2k? Maybe more or less its hard to tell without seeing the whole car.

Well, don't let anyone tell you that Yanks will pay you thousands for it. It might have been the case once - but it is expensive to ship them now, and the weak dollar has significantly flattened the import market.

Condition of floor / sills / A-panels and engine room will dictate the real price

adding a rocker cover might prolong engine life too *wink*

Right I have come to the definite decision to sell it, so a bit more of a description is in order.

I have everything needed to complete it except for an inertia switch. (havent got round to taking it off my mates written off car yet)

The shell is solid enough, only needing a few welds, the rear kick plate and along the back of the boot, all panels will be included even the mig welder.

The engine is complete, just needs to be fitted.

Ideally I would like to ask £2500 for it, do you think I am being unreasonable? I know it may be a lot since it needs finished, but my thinking is in that it is complete with all parts, tools and mig to complete and it's tax exempt.

Sorry for spraffing on a bit.

Thanks in advance

Tony

1275 turbo.

It's basically a project that has everything you'll need to complete it, well except an engine hoist, but it is easily fitted by two people.

I just don't have the time before I fly off to Oz to complete it and get it ready for shipping.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

to be honest for an unfinshed project with a basically standard engine its a bit pricey in my book. well a lot.

Then again i'm from lincolnshire and i squeak when i walk *happy*

i would put it more in the £1000-1500 bracket for a project car.

I agree with Iain. Your basically selling as a kit rather than a complete car.
Looks a nice motor though & hopefully you'll get some cash to take to Australia. :)

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

if its not needing much to finish, you would be better putting the time into it if you want that sort of money. As it stands, £1000 - £1500

Believe me I would take it with me, but that involves a lot of time, which I dont have lol.
It has to basically be in showroom condition to import it, which sucks!

So you reckon ebay with a 1500 reserve then? i'll maybe start it high and if it doesnt sell lower it, it's not that standard really.

Cool, i'll try it and see.
