Sorry if I'm treading on anybodies toes, but these are really good for the money.

They are single V pulley 55Amp units.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=110326738968

But... there's only 1 day left at this price. He has them up at £65 in other auctions.

Mine and John's came yesterday. They are definatly the 55amp ones, they look good. massive pulleys (single V) and they line up nicely.

He's relisted the ones at £55, but has the same ones at £65. I wonder how many people have spent an extra tenner just for the sake of a couple of minutes extra searching...

Won't be on the car for some time, but I can get a pick of it next to a standard one if you like.

It lines up next to the engine mounts and the pulleys are all in line. It has a nice deep V in the pulley so the belt should stay on....

There's a big topic about them. Just do a search.

All you need is the right size belt, a wiring connector (64p, link in big thread) and the bolts to hold it to the engine.

Is it worth it? IMO, yes. More charge, less weight and it's smaller. what more could I want...

Mine turned up today, ive not weighed it properly but i swear its attulay heavier than an normal lucas one!!

Alot more compact yes, but no weight saving. Maybe its because they are 55amp?

My 40 amp that I got off Matty seems signifigantly lighter. I haven't weighed either but I will when I get a chance

Mine's lighter, but I've not weighed it. I'm comparing to a standard 22amp which I'm guessing has less wire wound up inside it. Same between the 40amp and 55amp.

For me it's more about space under the bonnet.

Yeah mine come today as well.
having the old one in one hand, and new in the other, it does feel lighter.
Nice and small.
Just have to fit it now. there is 3 connections on Nippon Alternators, as well as 3 on my old one. just got work out which goes to which.

Have a search, it's all explained. There's also a link to the correct connector for it. Only 64p so you may as well do it right *happy*
