right I am proper pissed off now got stuck about 40 miles from home today with a blown coil I have the coil about 4 weeks when I built the 998 the one thing I spent money on was an Aldon yellow dizzy with optical electronic points and a 3.0ohm aldon flame thrower coil and a set of red luminition leads to make sure the ignition would be good well what a load of bollix that was.

I had an aldon ignition module in my 998 clubman. A wire came loose and it went pop! now I have a £6.95 unit from a landrover and it's cock on! On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Nah advertise it all on TMF then buy MJLJ If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

If the coil had 3 ohm resistance then this was probably a contributing factor - I am using a Jon Best (Bestek)coil which has only one ohm resistance and it cured my repeated problems with blowing ignition amplifier problems. |

Get the Megajolt, no more dodgy distributors or crap coils, better economy (oo the e word) better performance and no problems in the wet. I've seen it, it's the future :) Edited by sturgeo on 12th Feb, 2009. |

it is better to bolt the coil to the inner wing to avoid trobles like this. I moved it after blowing two coils in one season, but it was okay afterwards |

Ya bolted to the engine, It was supost to be the road coil hence 3.0ome the 1.5ome coils are said to be for race and no good for the road because they over heat. today I was on trigger wheels and a propper ignition is on its way :) On 17th Feb, 2009 Rob H said:
