hi all

This is one hell of a long shot but.......one of my friends is trying to build e replica of a turbo mini that used to belong in Yeovil untill its untimely death of mating with a brick wall.

It is belived to of been a grey colour with a dark roof and a yellow cage. A guy called Ed Short built it but does not have any pics for this lad to follow. So does anybody have any photos that may have it in? it was last on the road in 2004 if this helps.....post pics if you have them this will be a help

Hi paul.

Dont have any pics but i worked with ed when he built this mini way back in 1993/4.

All i remeber was the colours and that the bonnet had the vents from the mg metro turbo grafted onto the mini bonnet. I remember that because i knocked it over and he wasnt over happy....opps. Such a long time ago...

wasnt the remainds of it sat in martock somewere?

Hope the bonnet thing helps.

Why don't you ask Ed yourself? You should know where his workshop is you used to work there.

The guy in Martock is Matt Wilson, him and ahis brother both owned it. it had mig type arches that were body coloured and maybe 12 inch revolutions?

I build a 1330cc lump for it with possibly a 286 cam.

I was in serious need of some TLC.

It had leatheret speed boat seats to I remember.

Ed will know Matts where abouts.

i belive that i may have spotted whats left of it in martock, the one i found has a dark purple roof a matt black grill mk1 wavy well whats left of it, and the body looks graphite grey but if you look carefull it has a purple fleck in it. does this sound like the car? the interior has gone though but it looks like it has had a really hard smack which i heard was matts brother hitting a bridge down cartgate lol
