Anyone give me some good starting figures for the rear setup?

0.5 degrees negative camber and 3.2 mm toe in seems to work well for me (not sure what that mm figure equates to in degrees toe).
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

i think the rear toe in is recomended at 0 for road cars and about 1/8 of a inch for track cars.

3.2mm toe in is standard on the rear but I run mine parallel and you can notice the difference in a straight line, though it becomes a little skittish and takes getting used to.
I seriously doubt it! |

Thats great Paul thanks, i will use those figures as a starting point. Running the back parallel must make things interesting |

I had a bent rear beam for a while, and it was running parallel/slightly toe out on both sides unevenly, it made the car terrifying to drive! Mr. Prawn, the friendly Crustacean- slowly making steps towards forced induction. |

see this is a old post but do not want to open a new one. was installing my suspension the other day and got up this morning to set the tracking. had a problem with the rear that on one side i could get 1.4 degrees of neg camber while the other side only whent to 0.5 tops. but reading this 0.5 should be enough for the rear then? you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

Yeah, you don't need much at all on the rear. You have to consider as well on standard suspension with no play just how much positive camber the rears have you need to cancel out before you get to 0 degrees lol. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

First make sure your floor is perfectly flat, this will dramatically effect your readings I seriously doubt it! |

i set a level on the subframe and added spacers under the wheels to get it level. but its good to read that its normal ( to have so less) i rememberd my old mans simca ralley 1000 having 2 degrees of camber (was rear wheel drive and only for track use) you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
