not really, but there are some anoraks out there that will pay for originality.

I would have to think hard about spending that much on something that will still need about a grand spending on it to get it back to mint.

That engine in particular is not very original either, so the price is ridiculous.

Im looking at the fuel pump hole. That block has a blanking plate. I thought the Cooper S blocks did not have the hole, though still had one short stud fitted? It did on my 1275 s block at least

They didn't but many were opened to fit mech fuel pumps. Mine have.
