Somewhere around Swindon

Is windows 7 a worthwhile upgrade from XP, currently sorting a new PC and have always had XP pro, not sure what the benifits are if any

Had just bought a new PC (for work as self employed) Quad Core recon HP with 4GB ram with W7 upgrade for £464.00 Far better than Vista!

I am having one built, amd 630 quad core, 4gb ram, seagate 500gb hard drive, 8400 graphics card £330 for XP or £404 with windows 7

Ive been a bit lucky really as i have a friend who builds and reapirs them for work so hes doing it for me

£65 was for W7 and has a 500gb drive so similar! never too sure about the non branded machines though? Mine is an HP

I used to build my own PC's and piss around with overclocking etc.

Now I find it easier and cheaped to buy a branded box (usually with 3yrs warranty) and stick additional ram/hdd's in it as required.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.
