Anyone got any 1/8th hose tails in the south? I'm desperate!

Chaps, I'm in great need of some 1/8th hose tails to drill and tap 2 vacuum take offs into my inlet manifold to install my megajolt this weekend.

i ordered some on ebay on tuesday, but they've STILL not turned up!

Does anyone have 2 1/8th hose tails going spare that I could blag tomorow morning (or this evening) in a reasonably sensible driving distance of Basingstoke?

if so, I'd be HUGELY thankful!

I'm pretty sure I've got some..

From memory the ones I've got are 1/8bsp to 4mm hose tails. I can check when I get in if needed.

I'm not exactly close to baisingstoke though... I'll drop you a pm with my mobile number, just in case :)

4mm would be 3/16ths, I could easily stretch my vacuum line onto that!

Any one else any closer got anything?

Most of those yank things use 1/8 NPT, although its very damn close to BSP.

Just go to any local pneumatics or air tools/compressor place. They will have a selection of fittings.

I find its easy to use the pneumatic push fit stuff on all of that. Its cheap, and the hose literally just pushes in and out easily, and is usually rated to around 10 bar or so.

This style of fitting ( albeit obviously you'd get one side x mm and the other 1/8 BSP )
And buy whatever size nylon hose you need to push in.

is there no pirtek or hyphose or other industrial supplier near you, I can think of four places less than 10 mins from my house i could get these from tomorrow morning.... there must be something nearish to you surely??

reading and guildford both have a pirtek store, both less than 15 miles from you if the pirtek website is to be belived....

edit; whoops, my bad, guildford is actually 19 miles..... oh well, still not too bad!!

I have tried every store of that type in about a 40mile radius, and all stock down to quarter inch, but none stock 1/8th or 3/16ths :(

I even spent 45 minutes in the plant office at work earlier today, where the plant manager and our main fitter spent 45 minutes ringing around every place they know, and none were able to supply hose tails smaller than 1/4 :(
