Hi Chaps.

What do you guys think about Rev limiters with launch control???
I'm considering getting one as when my turbo comes on boost I feel like I'm nailing it everywhere with a huge grin on my face. Boost is additive! *surprised*
I was speaking to a bloke a few weeks ago who had launch control on his 206 and said it was great. Originally it was just the rev limiting I was interested in but Omex do a Limiter/Launch combined device.
Does any of you use it? Any opinions will be fantastic. *happy*

the simple sensor less launch control will just be a lower revlimit on a button or 2-step

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

have it, and its not much use on road tyres tbo, just spins the wheels, sounds cool though and the flat shift feature is handy. i believe matt woods has tried it on his a-series, not sure what others have?!

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

i used to have it and yes its pretty cool, i had my button on my gear stick :) but i got rid having now got megajolt. but it worked ok, i had it set to 3400rpm which worked good with minimal wheel spinnage.

Yes i tried it as Denis said, found it good for wheel spinning off the line but nothing else. I think if you had slicks that gripped well it would work ok.

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I have run with launch control.

It requires a wheel speed sensor from the back wheel.

You sit on the line clutch flat down and throttle full down. Holds the revs at whatever (5500rpm in my case)

Then lift of the clutch and the computer does the rest.

It senses front wheel speed compared to back wheel speed. If the front is going fasters its obviously spinning. You can dial in a % of slip. The optimum is 5% I think. The comp also takes that into account.

It limits the slip with ignition and fuel cut to the engine.

Works perfectly on my racecar and improved 0-62ft times by loads.

That is proper launch control not just a 2 stage rev limiter
