A company rebuilt my transmission several years ago, and I'm now finally at the point of having mated it to the block. Upon attempting to fit the clutch housing over the gears, I noted some fitment issues.

You need to have a complete bearing - the bearing inner race which is on the input shaft and the outer which is pressed into the housing. They are a matched set and so vary in size between models and suppliers I seriously doubt it! |

I wouldn't worry about using the turbo bearing, the std one copes quite fine in my experience |

Thank you both for your input! I'll trade out my buggered housing for a better A+ model, then.

If you cannot find it you HAVE to go the whole bearing route I seriously doubt it! |

Thanks, Paul. Assuming I can't find it, would you recommend accepting the trade and going with the standard bearing, or trying to find the proper turbo bearing (which is apparently difficult to find in the USA) to use with my existing housing?
