Could this do as a 'running in oil'?
Seems pretty cheap for a known brand oil, and I only need it for a short while. The engine isn't 'new', but its had the head off, and the block front/back sanded and it doesn't matter how much you try and cover it up and mask bits, its going to have dust and shite in it.

That's only a litre.

If you're actually running in, you're better off with cheap mineral. For what you propose, an oil and filter change with CTV would be better.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Yeah I appreciated it was only a litre, but 5l would be only 19 quid delivered, so it looked fairly tempting.

So you think the CTV and a new filter would be better? Bugger. Lol.

sounds like your wanting to clean out as opposed to run in

you could use the supermarket stuff; change the oil; run it up to temp to 'clean' out and then change again?

Asda 20/50 is like 6 quid for 4l. Get a few for a flush. Then back to the good stuff

Yeah exactly that Rob. It will be full of shit and just needs clearing out.

Awesome, I'll stick with cheap stuff then, will save me a few quid :)
