I have been looking at my dash and I am a bit bored of it *oh well* I would love a nice clean dash really without all the bells & lights lol. I have been looking around here and there is so many dash's to look at, I don't think the big CF dash's would really work in my car.

This will all tie in with me making a new loom as Its the worse part of my car at the min! and drop some weight out of it*smiley*

I have been looking at fitting /making---

A minisport dash has anyone fitted one? pics would be nice.

Or make one like Paul made for John Hastons car.

Simon.

I love the look of the mk1 so would be tempted to keep it original looking with the centre binnacle and additional rev counter. The rest of the dash can simply have lightweight dash cards?

Don't get me wrong, plenty of other dashes will look great, i just like the fact your car could pee off the purists under the skin

I know what your saying Rob, but I am sick of the speedo not working as soon as I swap the cable over its last 50 odd miles and goes again *oh well*

Also I love that it piss the Normans off!

What about doing away with the dash completely and simply fitting one of the digital units in front of the wheel?

Nice and simple and has everything in it that you need bar a boost gauge etc.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

I think this would be a shame, you may as well go and fit some sports pack arches and split rims.
The dash you have now suits the mk1

Slightly OT, but what cage is that Simon?

Do the dash bar and door bars have the clamps built in or are they on the main cage?

Hide everything and the centre binical angeld with a stack display of sorts with boost oil pressure or what have you or hide the dials, all digital so its only really seen by you when the car is on when its not its all hidden like tinted windows sort of thing. That way you have speedo and two dials in the middle and the rest hidden. You could even do away with a rev gauge or sorts and have a led light system where the ash tray is on the later cars

Do away with the christmas lights and just fit a standard mk1 centre binnacle with a Stack mounted in it

I seriously doubt it!

Got to agree I love the look now. Must be a bit of a handful to drive without a steering wheel.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I'm using a etb digidash, everything in one, if you've got a rollcage you could just make a bracket for it off that and keep the dashboard clear
