has anyone else noticed these connectors that plug into the turbo on Gold TDI's (and presumably others)

I mean wth is this all about???

yeah thats the reason I was looking at this, the clip was letting go and it was leaking boost....

from my calcs this will be restricive above about 150 hp.

Hmmm I wonder if my 1.8 20v has the same? The only reason for that is to restrict it in some way, can't see why else it would have that smaller bore.

Normally the little tabs wear and blow the hose off, cant see why they dont use jubilee clips apart frpm neatness..

a mate changed all the hoses on his passat tdi for a custom samco set because when he upped the boost they kept blowing off, now its done 50k miles at 220bhp no problems
