Wondering if anyone is running a t3 or t5 cam in a turbo and what they're like?

Apparently the T3 is identical to a Phase 2.

I'm running the T3 in mine but not really had it out yet.

as already said, it is supposed to reflect the ph2 cams

ive got a t3 cam too and its pretty much the same as the now impossible to get hold of avonbar / AVR classics phase 2 cam

great road turbo cam


the t5 cam is pretty much the phase 3 cam, yes you get alot steeper torque but in the low end its pretty gutless
good for racing and big figures
but not so good on the road apparently :)

Surely if you want an avonbar profile you could just contact piper direct? Don't they machine them?

Possibly but they may make them under license from avonbar, and as such there may be legal implications?

Possibly. Surely if this is the case you could just ask them for one with those profiles. As long as you don't ask for an avonbar phase 2 and just for the durations and lifts then it would be fine.

You can still buy the piper turbo phase 2 cam off the shelf. I got mine from min- its at the end of last year. Also cheaper than elsewhere
