So we were staying with friends on the Essex/Suffolk border over the weekend and they (well he really) suggested going to a show in Maningtree.

A classic car show that has been run a few years, nothing formal, just people getting together in a field.

Over twenty Minis (I haven't counted the numbers from my photos yet but at least twenty) some in groups from clubs, some individual.

None that I could see with turbo/SC (there were very few owners around to talk to, most were just on display as their owners were wandering around looking at everything else) but a surprising number of Minis on the road, legal and in really good condition, for such a small area as Suffolk/Essex.

And it was 27C (first sign of summer ?) on my car thermometer when we left.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I went along to one of our local shows a few weeks back and was also surprised at the number of good cars on the road;

wasn't 27 degC though!

I live a couple of miles from the Goodwood race circuit, the breakfast club there is pretty good for wandering around gawping at cars I can't afford.
