My car is currently too low for both my scissor jack and trolley jack and that's when I don't have a flat wheel, if I had a flat on the side of the road it would be even worse. So I was wondering what sort of jacks do people use? A trolley jack is too big to carry about, plus think of the weight! On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

Have you tried raising up the suspension?

i use slime in the tyre puncture preventor type stuff and a can of tyre foam just in case Done now needs redoing lol |

I carry caravan chicks in the boot of my mx5 so I can drive it up on to those and then put a scissor jack underneath works every time, I'd I'd put money on it that my car is lower than most On 15th Jul, 2009 fastcarl said:

I'll be honest and say it is currently sitting lower than I'd like so when I raise it that should help but if I had a flat its definitely a struggle to get the jack under it. I use wood in stages to get my metro up lol honda jazz scissor jack is pritty low to start with Drives

Unfortunately not, I did have plans to turbo it and fit a half cage as the cosmetics were sorted, but I lost my job recently so it's now up forsale :( On 15th Jul, 2009 fastcarl said:

where you trying to jack from? i tend to roll it onto some 2x2 inch and that is just enough to get a low trolly jack under
