Right gents, I've been asked by my old man to sell my great grandads wolseley 1500 which has been sat in my nans garage since the late 70's/ early 80's due to having to clear out her house and garage.
From what I gather my great grandfather burnt every bit of paperwork for the car in a strop when he was told he had to stop driving. As far as I'm aware he owned the car from nearly new, so as such there hasn't been to many owners.

Now I'm in two minds or not about applying for a new log book, firstly puting another owner on the logbook and secondly I can imagine the agrivation from the dvla about applying for one for a car that's been off the road for 30 odd years. Would me doing so make it worth more, or would it be easier to sell as is and let the new owner sort it out?

I hope she's got knickers on or you'll have a funny runny mark on your bonnet. Quite like what a snail leaves behind.

Apply for the log book.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yep John is right. Should be easy enough to sort out. No log book will make it very difficult to sell on.

leeds/wakefield.

Unless this car has royalty listed as a previous owner I think the next owner will probably be a scrap man or similar.

no offence intended

Cheers chaps, I'm not expecting to much more than scrap value out of it anyway, but it just seems a bit to good to just scrap. I spoke to someone from the wolseley owners club a couple of years ago and they seemed quite positive about someone in the club taking it on

They are basically a Morris 1000 in a party frock with a B series 1500 engine.

quick update on this chaps, after a chance conversation with my mates old man he ended up buying it as is. got it out the garage today, loaded up and taken back to a workshop. I didn't see it on the ramp but from what I hear apart from the obvious brakes, wheel bearings etc it needs a couple of patches of welding and a front crossmember.

heres a few pictures
