I know fitting a jukebox doesn't come easy to most on TM however it would make sense to have something to listen to while waiting for the AA!

I have one on the bottom of my windscreen, under the wiper. Seems to work well in the garage, but is starting to peel off. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Just use a normal aerial extended under the dash. Ideally top dash cover if you have one fitted. Or i have used the screen fitted ones before My small bore turbo project http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=473901 |

Slightly OT, but my Audi 80 had a electric telescopic aerial which I hated. I'd noticed that the top 3 elements on the heated screen did nothing and found they were in fact an aerial. All the wiring was already in place, it was just missing the unit which allows it to use all of the heating elements when it is not being used. I got the missing piece from the breakers, but surely the cost of fitting the telescopic aerial would be more than that part? It appears to have been one of those options which would actually cost the manufacturer less to fit!

I'm 27! If I was old enough to remember 8-Tracks I probably wouldn't like them as I'd just remember them for being flawed, expensive and quickly outdated. As it is I love how quirky and retro they are. I also listen to a lot of classic and prog rock, all of which is available on 8-Track. It's impossible to get modern R&B on 8-Track which is a very good thing.

hmmm yeah, with that unit though it looks like you could run a hidden loop of wire ( eg around the parcel shelf) i think reception on that would be ok

rover 800's had a wee module that allowed the rear heater to double as the arial, was very simple to wire in IIRC so if you can find an 800 in a breakers you could rob it.
