Hi all, I'm doing some tidying and rust repairs I've cut a big section of inner wing/valance out on the driver side. It appears to be double thickness though in the area i've highlighted here in red (on the engine bay side) Does anyone know if it comes as part of this panel? As I dont see it on the heritage panel diagrams? I assume it is supposed to be there and not the remains of someone else's repairs before i had the car? It is the same on the other side of the car too

there are usually two layers of steel around the shock mount before you get to the flange of the cross member.

its another panel sandwiched between the flitch pannel and the cross member that reinforces the shock mount and the triangular cross member brace.

i'd ike to have thought it was party of the flitch pannel if it's a herritage one at the very least, infact if you look at the 'complete' flitch panel with A pannel form BMH you can see some spot welds in that prescribed area

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
