to be fair fitting heritage panels to a straight shell still requires a fair bit of persuasion to get them to fit right. so aftermarket/ fibreglass type front ends I would imagine would be worse. anything can be made to fit. with time and more importantly patience. though a mock up pre paint probably would have been the best way to go |

If they didnt have the lights ect they wouldnt have known it had gaps. Most fg, cf ect has poor fitmant but all can be made to fit better Drives

Bonnet was painted but had to go back to arc angels to be reinforced as the front of the bonnet had the lip cut off it to look mk1 style. They delivered the wrong bonnet. In doing so the scratch the bonnet and ruined the paint |

Paul it is sat back about 1.3/4 inches from the front of the bonnet if that's what your referring to. |

Always build the car up before painting that way nothing is missed. Saves lots of heartache. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I had the same issue 9and ended up getting rid of the fibre bonnet and getting steel so I could cut and weld it to shape. The o ly way I could get a good fit with a fibre front. |

my bonnet didnt fit at all, have a pic around somewhere, i had to raise it at the back on the bonnet pins and it over lapped the scuttle pannel a good 2cm, i was fucked if i was cutting that off |

Thanks for the replies I knew I should have just done a steel front. Wouldn't mind so much if I had fitted it but paid a small fortune to get it done |

with any job on the car if you start to get pissed off or frustrated wth it walk away and do something else for an hour. otherwise things will get broken! |

This is the reason I opted to weld on my front end as opposed to having a removable steel front; it is hard getting all the gaps right at the best of times. |
