Im driving my elf down to MITP next weekend, but meeting up with a mate in hull on the way. told him i was gonna do a couple of jobs on the car this week. his reply was "don't do it. if it aint broke, don't fix it"!

one of the jobs was an oil and filter change. its an old 998 using the cartridge type filer housing.

after covering myself, the floor and all my tools in old black shitty oil, i got it all sorted and decided to take it for a quick spin. pulled up outside the house and the bastard thing was honking out oil. the sealing groove has bent and wont seal the housing properly.

so.......... fuck the purists, its getting a newer type screw on housing and turbo oil filter!

knew i should of left it alone.

rant over

balls to the blower!!!

Swansea boyo!

Haha I don't think I would have done anything on my car this weekend if Carl was about, just in case! Esp with his 'ahhhh it'll be alright' attitude *tongue*.
You will get it sorted before next weekend though?

They don't die, they just get faster!

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Me 3... was working on my mates rally mini... put the plug in couldn't find the right key... went home for a good night sleep.. went back the next evening and just started filling the oil up...

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

If you try and fix it you will brake it but take solus in knowing it would have happened if you had done it after mitp
