Hey, Does anyone run a compleatly seperate turbo oil system and have any pictures. I would assume all you would need is a Sump of sorts, a scavange pump oil cooler and some lines and fittings. can anyone see any fatal flaws in this plan?

All well and good but why would you really need to? The turbo in real terms needs very little oil hence why you can piggyback off the main engine system with no issues.

guess it was accidently posted in for sale,
if you where terribly worried about oil temp into the turbo you could run a cooler before

but with modern oils and it not being a 700hp drift car i cant see it doing much good constantly delivering cool oil through it
they are designed for warmish oil to bring down the temp anyway

which turbo is it? and the spec of the motor will help

STD 998 Job with a side mount GT17, running about 5-10 psi.The reason being is it would be easier to have seperate oil since its a side mount, I suppose i could just try it and if it works well then i can keep going with it.

Would it affect the longevity of the oil pump in the car?

i would change the oilpump if the engine is out of the car
and obviously a normal service and crack on!

The oil is only there for lubrication on the GT1752 and is designed to be used at engine temp levels.

What are you looking to gain?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Nothing really just thought it would be a simpler install and have less wear on the the engine internals
