Owkey. Heres the deal. The welding on the body is finished. .. tomorrow i make my brace bars... suspension is fitted with all new bearings and fully adjustable stuf...

So whats left to do...
Placing the body kit
Having some wheels made up ( split 7*10's) that i need before the body kit is placed.
Build an engine. .
Have the rest of the cage welded in..


And finally spraying of course.

But what should i do first? The engine or the wheels and kit? Or finich up the cage? ( bit tired of welding to be real)

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

From very recent experience
Wheels, cage
Do the engine, Seats etc to get the road weight
THEN get the suspension set-up

Take some of it out again
Then bodykit then spray

Reading up on RTS Clutches

I still have to buy the kit. Was going for the old fortec kit. (The narrow one.)

Yeah errr no. Made up my mind... will keep it (at least most of it) bought an eaton for a few reasons... first of ll there are no minis with eatons in belgium... (only know of about 4 turbo minis to)
Second it seemed simpler to do (dont understand actuator s and so on)
3th turbo's are very expensive (250 pound for a rebuild one if you can deliver the same unit in more or less good state. And lets say around 600 pounds for a new one. )
I also would not know what to take...

Biggest problem is that there are few company's who understand minis here and none of them is really in to building hi performance minis... the one's who sell performance parts and engines order build items by minisports... but thats it. So no where to run for me... its all learning and reading on this site and internet and try and error for me.


Having said that... i am tempted to build a turbo mini though...

owkey. had a good long chat about it with the wife the dog and the pussy... (non of them was listening to me) but i am going for the engine first ( gives me something else to do than weld weld and weld)

here are the basic engine specks i thought about: kent 266 cam
omega die cast piston (+040 6.5 or 10 cc dich depending on compresion ratio)
37.2 inlet valve and 29.5 outlet valve
standard ratio rockers
3.1 end diff (4 pin)
rebuild gearbox (maybe clubman straightcut)
and the eaton charger running 10 psi

will look for a compresion ratio of 8.8 or 9.

sounds anny good or anny sugestions?

You can probably get away with a little bit more cam (you are building a 1310cc, right?).
I bought a 273 with 112 degr LCA from Stuart Gurr.

Dazed and Confused....

wouldn't that bring my peak power a bit hy up the rev range? also i am keeping it in the back of the head if i want to ditch the blowjob charger to go turbo i would just need a other head with bigger chambers to lower compression
