I would choose the D5; I have driven a V70 D5 which made a quite sporty ride.

we have a 58 reg v50 R design, had it 2 years now, we had it 3 days before the egr valve went, then 2 weeks later the ecu went total cost £2000, good job it was still warranty, last month it wouldn't start, AA came out and found main air flap running over the engine was sticking, I wouldn't buy one, 1 its a ford focus based, 2 its shit on fuel, and 3 its shit. don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CANT POLISH A TURD, BUT, YOU CAN ROLL IT IN GLITTER!!!! |

Will has one and is looking to sell it soon, but he has had a few issues with it. The main issues as far as I can tell is that all the dealers in his area are shite and don't want to honor the full warranty. Wil's is the D5. Edited by Ben H on 27th Aug, 2013. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

I work for a ford/ Volvo main dealer the 2.4 d5s the better option more power plus its a Volvo engine not a peugeot/Citroen one but to be honest other than the usual diesel coking now and then we don't have to much trouble with them other than water damage to the gem module due to the washer pump plug but there was a recall for them so as long as that's been done you will be fine worth checking the to plugs though in the passenger footwell, I hope it helps |

As Ben said I have a D5 R design. And it's the shittest car I have ever owned.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
