Can anyone recommend a good supplier for bespoke braided brake lines that don't cost the earth?

I've just been quoted over £100 for 2 pipes :/

Carlton hydraulics?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

They aren't that cheap. For the 2 from master cylinder to bias what sit and then 2 from there to the front brakes was over £100, but then I had fancy fittings on both sides of the bias whatsit.

Also just had my front calliper to subframe hoses made up, they where about £25 a side.

You can get custom ones made up here, if you know what sizes and lengths etc.

Turbophil had a butt plug made that seemed to be suitable. He may have finished with it now and have it kicking around spare

Shropshire.

A local hydraulics company should be able to make something to your spec - I've had lines made in the past at a fraction of the costs being quoted above.

I find that its cheaper to make them my self. I have made all the ones on the Mk1. Its a mix of all the brands out there now a days lol.

When I started I just put all the bits in a box that needed a fitting, worked out all my lines with cord so I was not over buying, then went to Think automotive. I looked a dick with all the stuff but who cares.

If your ever in Southend, Leigh Baxter Associates may be able to help you out, they are in Stock Road and have a large amount of hydraulics/hoses etc so may be worth a look?

According to their website there is one in Witham too, but I haven't ever been to that one.

Buy the fittings and make them yourself, they are really quite straightforward.

Cheers for the ideas guys.

I'm binning the servo which had two braided hoses with M10 x 1 banjo ends. These ran from the master on the servo to the standard proportioning valve thing. I'm also looking to replace this with a single line adjustable Wilwood bias valve (M10 fittings) and run the front line directly into the (presumably 3/8 unf) male fitting that feeds the front brakes.

The non servo master cylinder has one M10 x1 fitting for the front brakes and an M12 x 1 fitting for the rears.

I reckon I'll need...

an appoximately 380mm long braided pipe with M12 x 1 banjo on one end and M10 straight fitting on the other end.

Then a similar length (I'll measure first) pipe with M10 x 1 banjo one end and a female 3/8 unf concave fitting on the other end.

Of course I could do it all with normal copper pipes and fittings for about £6, but I think they look shit and would not be as easy to re-route if future plans for a side mounted turbo ever happen.
