Guys, I'm looking at buying a bead roller like the one below, but seeing as I will only need it for little random bits and my bulkhead I was wondering if anyone would be interested if I started to lend it out?

Will be buying the one below

Warwick.

How much does it cost to get a company to do these swages for you?
Im actually considering buying one for myself looking at the price of that!

I'm tempted to buy one myself when the time comes. Apparently they flex a little but a couple of lengths of angle, welded across the "arms" will minimise it

Those bead rollers are handy bits of kit, I use the same model quite a lot at work. Our has been going strong for over 2 years.
It could benefit from a couple lengths on box welding down the back but I find it will only flex seriously if you wind the dies together to hard.

I've got that exact one, its actually really good! I've converted mine to have a motor and foot switch so when doing larger sheets you don't have to worry about trying to reach the handle and hold the work.

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

What kind of motor are you using matty? I've been thinking about converting ours for a while but haven't got around to doing it. :(

Definitely get the stand with it, as its not a lightweight piece of kit!

I managed to get hold of a 24v worm gear drive motor from an old X-ray machine at my old work. It nice and slow with plenty of torque.

I've got this hidden away, need to find the specs on it and see if it's up the the job.

Looks like ill definitely go for it then! I've got a few low speed high torque motors from a wheel chair crane that I can use to power it aswell which will work well.

May go for the stand but as in limited for space ill have to a plan a space for it!

Bought this a few weeks ago and got working on my rear bulkhead and parcel shelf, got to say for the money it's a great bit of kit! I'm looking into motorising it atm an adding a fence aswell
