Finaly had an hour to rip the carb off the mini. Its a new (secondhand one ) and guess wot , the carb was leaking on the choke so ive got it off to put some new seals in and its had one of the bolts snap in the carb !! Great.

Rick, I'm in the garage this afternoon, have a ride down if you like and I'll help you sort it, have got a full selection of drills taps helicoils etc.

Sound like a good offer carl, I would of been tempted to take you up on it a few hours ago but tom has been a star and sorted it. fingers crossed.

No I never did, but I made more power, and the chambers looked like they had a more even burn than it did when there was a 45 on it. I've sold the car now, but it's still running my EFI setup on the same map with out problems On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

I was under the impression that anything over 150bhp with a basic efi'd carb wouldnt be as good as the acctual carb !!
