Hello all.

Have been thinking about the KAD quickshift jobbie.
I will be getting a S/C C/R box for my turbo, and I was wondering if the KAD kit is ideal for it?

Also if I could ask a favor, about 2" up from the bottom, what is the total movement from 1st - 2nd? I ask as I want to make a gear shift plate... and want to know if its actully worth doing.

Thanks

When you say 'gear shift plate' do you mean a Ferari-esk plate with slots in?

If so, forget it.

I wanted to make a plate to stop accidentally grabbing reverse, but the sidways movement between gears is less than the width of the gearstick; making it very difficult to make. And making it impossible to make what I think you want.

I'd personally get the £££££ straight cut box bought, built, and in the car underneath an engine worthy of it before worrying about a pennies quick shift thing for it......

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

I have worried about the lower end of my turbo engine.

Ok I'll scrap the idea of the shiftgate, but will a KAD QS set, be ok on a S/C as I hear S/C boxes changes gear different to a heli box?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

They change the same, they use the same shifting bits, unless you go for a dog box that is.

All that changes is the gear profile. *smiley*

A normal SC box {non dog} is just the same as a helical box to use.
