O/T Wanted shell

Due to some jiley wanker (me) sticking it on its roof at Cadwell Park, I am after a 205 GTI shell, doors, boot etc.......ideally non sunroof but not that important.

I know this is well OT but I know a few people on here like me also dabble on the dark side.......

ebay dude, my mate on the island rallys 205s, has about 5 of them, most from ebay.

the last one he got (for £200) was too nice to rally, so he ended up giving it to his mum.

It is worse than it looks from the picture, the front edge of the roof is dented and it has pushed the door gap up as well.

Happened yesterday afternoon at Cadwell Park, I suppose the only consolation is that no-one was hurt, and no-one can say I wasn't trying......

Coming towards the Gooseneck, just starting to brake, somehow got a wheel on the grass, span round, now going backwards with all 4 wheels on the grass, hit the tyre wall backwards with the OSR corner, car goes up on top of the tyre wall, and then rolls onto the passengers side and then onto the roof, leaving me hanging in the belts. What a BAC.

Shell needs to be a GTI one, there are a few differences, mainly to do with rear wheel clearance.

Gromit didn't make the journey, I think this affected the weight distribution of the car leading to the accident......

The quote that eased the pain a bit was from the guy in the EVO6 I had overtaken about a lap previous.

"I had a good view of that accident, I wasn't far behind you. Its a shame that happened, as you were bloody fast before that"

The co-owner of the car was fairly laid back about it to be fair to him. His comments "If you had done that fucking about on the road I'd have been mega pissed off with you. But as it is, it is here doing what we built it to do, and really it was inevitable that sooner or later one of us would damage it. Now stop saying sorry or I will chin you."

The good news is I think I may have leads on a couple of potential shells already.

Just arranged the purchase of this little buggy.......

Pick it up Saturday, it is off to my fabricator mate who is going to reinstall the cage and add some more triangulation, and possibly brace through the bulkhead to the front strut tops.

Don't forget extra anti-roll bars. haha
