Fuel regulator desperately

Desperately need another fuel regulator. Cant get this one to sit accuratly at all, it varies when not running from 2psi to 7psi, and its really hard to set as it varies so much.

Im using a cooper tank with pump, all my fuel lines are 8mm rubber and there are no blockages. i took out the copper scrwe in thing completely tonite, and now i cant get any fuel pressure at all no matter how much its screwed in, so i think its knackered!!

I think this has been the cause of my running problems though. Ive been experiencing my car cutting out when under load increasing revs, so driving slow everywhere in 4th has been the only choice havent really been able to see how fast it is! Ive tried a few local sources but cant find one, so i have had to ask you guys. thankyou
