after a car with a a long mot. been looking at mk astra TD's or something like a 106 diesel.

just want something reliable to hack to work and back in. not that fussed about travelling too far to get one either.

thought i may as well ask here incase somebody had something

my mates go arust free astra td estate looking for about 250 for it











euro`s he`s in spain.lol.

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

sounds promising mate, any more details? age, mileage etc?

ill check out how long it is as well. believe it or not it is important! lol!

when we viewed the new house the drive was long enough to fit a renault laguna and a rover 25 on (plus the garage but thats claimed for the mini). we've got a new shape corsa thats going on there so need to make sure whatever i buy fits as well.

Cheers mark!!! thats even cheaper than one over here, hmm how much would it cost in diesel to drive back, a flight is only ?20.

Will have a J reg 205 diesel for sale in a few weeks. Nothing that special, but dirt cheap to run, does 50+ mpg, central locking, electric windows, even a private number plate, has got 5 months test on it, I put six months tax on it at the start of jan, also two Avon front tyres. Bodywork is a bit battered but no rot at all, flew through its last MOT test. Will cruise happily at 80mph doing 50mpg.

(Edit) Can quite easily put a full MOT on it if reqd.
