Wanted Sony Head Unit

As title, I am looking for a second hand Sony head unit for my Dad.

The only requirement is that it is able to control a CD multichanger, the one I have is a Sony CDX601. Radio/Cassette deck would do perfectly.

Other than that anything considered, old units fine as long as they are fully working and come with the correct fixing cage. Its for my Dad so preferably nothing too fancy and not the "black panel" types as hes a miserable old bugger and likes to be able to press buttons!

The one he has at the moment in another vehicle is a Sony XRC-7200R, he would like another similar. It is a radio/cassette with a flip down front and a rotary dial for volume.


If anyone has anything can they let me know, thought I'd ask here in case anyone has an old Sony cassette player doing nothing that they could swap for some cash! Otherwise I will look on eBay.

i have the sony head unit with tape deck and 10 disc changer ?? but i threw out the little remote pod that wires into it coz it pissed me off ! if thats any good to you

or i can get the tape player for you on its own, its the next model up which has the spinny type wheel rather than the up down type volume buttons....let me know i will see what i can do for you tom :)

already have a cd changer so just need the head unit, can you let me know a price for just the tape player head unit please? cheers.

nicky cheers for keeping an eye out, that cassette one sounded idea apart from no wiring loom, tried to get a replacement specific plug before, it was about £40!

i will find out for you... the wiring blocks are ok price wise mind they are a generic fit now, ford usualy use the same, as do all the mg cars if you see one in a scrap yard cut the wires out and bobs ya uncle also rover 25 etc etc etc will get back to you with price once i have spoken to the owner ofthe head unit.
