i've got std metro airbox & filter from a hif38, not sure if they fit in minis though

What does it look like?

Does it still use the elbow on the back of the carb and use the two wing nuts down to the carb mounts?

I have used the metro airbox in minis before. Depending on the inlet manifold used they can be a bit of a squeeze but do fit.

They are similar to the older style mini airbox except the air intake is larger, and rectangular. They actually flow a hell of a lot better than the earlier filter box.

A tip, if you can't get it to fit in when it is all together, take the lid off, manoeuver the box and filter in place, then slide the lid over the top between the bonnet rail and the airbox and fasten down! Has worked for me on 2 or 3 minis!

i've had a look dan

and it looks to use the same mounts ie. 1 in the carb elbow and 1 on the inlet manifold
