I guess I am getting so old I cannot see. Maybe someone can see something in the pictures I cannot.
I have two different engines with radiators mounted using what I think are the same components. It is my understanding that the 12A361 large lower radiator/engine mount bracket has not changed over the years.
One radiator is ending up further away from the engine and the other is very close. I have new 12A293 lower brackets and new cowls. This not your standard setup, but I don't believe what is different should make any change. These are MPi engines using a side mounted radiator.
One is mounted in a subframe and I know the large bracket can be moved and adjusted slightly, but it should not cause a difference of almost one inch.

It has to be something simple I am missing.
I thought I had mixed up an older non-Cooper S lower radiator cowl or had one of the fans on backwards, but that does not seem to be the case.
