Wanted Ign Parts

My engine is now 90% ready to start up for the first time, I have a MegaJolt ECU and all the parts, except I am waiting for my mate to machine my trigger wheel.

Hence I am going to start the car up initially on a distributor.

I have a few dizzys to choose from, and also a coil, but I am lacking

a) Rotor Arm
b) Dizzy Cap
c) Ign Leads

I don't want to go and buy these brand new, as I am not going to use them for long, so is there anyone out there who can lend me these items for a few weeks? Or sell me them cheap? Used parts are fine as long as they will work, not bothered what it looks like for the short time I want to use it......

Can lend you the bits off the 8 port that are sat doing nothing

After a brief root round in the garage I think I also have a dizzy cap and rotor arm actually, so I just need the leads.

Will speak to you about it later in the week.

if not ive still got the one off my car lying around, infact the dizzy still has the leads on

Maybe running on MegaJolt is not as far away as I thought.

The first test pulley was completed today, here is a picture.



In time I hope to offer the service of machining your own pulley to this configuration, watch this space.

Nope, its a Spannerbitch-Racing pulley

I would have to say it's an Unbalanced copy of the AFracing pulley.
Not sure how long it's going to last having the unbalanced part attached to the crank via rubber.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

It may be a copy in essence, but how hard is it to put 2 and 2 together and come up with machining the trigger pattern into the pulley itself, as opposed to mounting a seperate wheel?

I'm not sure either how well it is going to work with the rubber damper ring, will have to see. I can't see the small inherent inbalance affecting matters enough to make a difference, but testing will reveal the answer to that one.

The pulley in the picture is the first test piece, there are some planned alterations in hand, that will be made during the machining of the next trial pulley.
