Hi all

I have a new wiring loom as the one in the car was beyond help.

Great i thought it will have all the plugs on it, i can just fit it and plug it in.....

Nope, it doesn't come with the plug for the dash (clocks behind steering wheel) it just has a large amount of bullet connectors.

I phoned the suppliers and they said " oh its probably not made any more, use your old one" yeah thanks, it went in the skip at work about a month ago. wish i had known then the loom wasn't complete.

So if any body has a scrap loom with the plug for the clocks i will take the lot or just the plug with about 6" of wire.

Please help me !!!

Mini Spares do a conversion kit to fit centre binnacle into later Mini with clocks in front of steering wheel. Sounds like this is what you need. They come with the plug you want and are very easy to install.

I seriously doubt it!

My brother had the same problem, we brought a wiring loom from minispares and when it came to fitting it we had the same problem with the instrument cluster connection as it was just bullet connections, when we called minispares up about it the said that the car was on a change over year something to do with if it has servo assisted brakes it should be new type loom and if it did'nt it should be the old type, but the strange thing was the car did not have sevro assisted brakes but had the new type loom, so they just let us exchange it.

What i thought was a bit mean was you dont get the rear part of the loom, or the headlight wiring.
