I'm sure that will pull the skin off several rice puddings !*happy*

Very nice piece of engineering. Must be close to the ultimate mini turbo engine.

What head spec / chamber size and shape will you be running with the 18cc pots ?

Keep up the good work, in admiration (much better word than envy lol !)

Cheers

Brocky

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

looks spanking mate.

I'm in the middle of doing me sums to see if i can afford new pistons to go 73.5mm while i'm rebuilding. Looking at using the mega pistons cos i cant stretch to forged jobbies, having a bigger dish machined into em. trouble is it looks like i need 16cc in the piston to get me down to 8:1

What sort of CR are you looking at running mate? i want to run around 15psi but dont know if i need to go as low as 8:1, already got a 29cc head and megajolt, cossie cooler etc.

not sure of the accralites weights but........these are quality to say the least even compared to the OMEGAS thes are far superior!!!!

but i have just weighed the 1275 OEM PISTONS with rings and these are 285 grams

with pin 383.3 grams

nic no its not buddy i have incorporated the build into the building work iam having done

its come out of the contractors budget ....lol *wink*

no problem tom, thanks buddy just waiting for my machine buddy to finish off some bits for me..but some ones playing silly buggers and nicked the drawings i have given him

Looks great Ben. Those pistons look the business and a nice piece of offset boring! The wall between 2&3 looks thicker than mine, what offsets did you use in the end?

Vrooom they look thin from the underside its a bad pic, look on the block deck pic

spridged the 2 center bores pitched to the outside 0.015"

the two outside bores pitched to the outside 0.010"

this leaves 3.5mm center and the two outside ones 3.1mm

just right but .......... some may disagree?,
most blocks differ! from OEM boring

mini13, "the route to go is 1380+".... if you can ?

stowmaket suffolk

nice job ben those pistons you have did you need to modify the little ends or were they a straight fit.

bud you should be able to run 15 psi with a decent intercooler and good ign timing

im running 12 psi on 9.4 at the mo on mu 1380 and goes bloody well i must say with good mpg.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas
