I'm not sure if the standard backplate is countersunk? Let me check on my backplate....

(off to garage)

Ok - Just checked. Can't see a countersink on mine Vegard. WTF are you on about?
Sounds a little like jealousy to me - because someone else wishes they'd done it / could do it? Huh? hmmm? huh? hmmm?*tongue*

ahhhh - bless.*tongue*

Norway - European rates apply as per the auction :)

Seems strange that it costs the same to send to Oz as it does England (and everywhere in between) but it's still pretty cheap for a 4/5 day service...

looks nicley made, and I recon I can wield a countersink well enough to mod it, LOL

but shouldn't there really be 6 studs?? ( the 2 on the right hand side of the pic should they be studded too??)

Is it any cheaper to buy directly via pay pal so you dont have any auction fees (well you have to ask) *tongue*

The two holes that aren't studded are instead clearance holes. This is because you have full access to the rear of the plate to use a nut.

I will (again) repeat...
This is a representation of the A+ timing setup, which was never fitted with countersunk screws. *oh well*

I realise now that omitting to include the countersink this was a frightful and sinfull error, and hopefully the good lord will see it in his heart that I be spared for my sinful act. *laughing*

But - If you want a countersink - you take metal out.
If i countersunk and you didn't want it countersunk - It's a pain in the ass for me to correct this.

Nic - you can have it at a special price. How does $40 sound?*laughing*

Constructive Criticism is (of course) always welcome. It'd be more welcome and valid if you had said component in your hand having paid money in order to level your comments however. *wink*

ohh fuck me the penny just dropped!!

this is the "other product to appear on ebay shortly"

After I posted about the extra 2 studs i realised it made much more sense to leave them out wherever possible.

LOL no worries! I've spent a long time weighing up the options - and although studs were considered - it's still something I'm supplying that the end user can screw up by overtorquing. A nut and bolt that I don't supply is his/her problem - and easilly sortable if they do use a 1/2" breaker bar to tighten them... :)

So... I've bought four, even if they're not countersunk *wink*

Edit: If you'd countersunk them Dave, there would be an even bigger weigh saving... three grammes, alt least two :)
